SGWork+ FAQs

General

SGWork+ is an app by MOM for work pass holders. Before this, some users had to use 2 apps - SGWorkPass and FWMOMCare.

Now, with just one app, you can:

  • View your digital work pass
  • Read messages from MOM
  • Complete given tasks
  • Access other MOM services

No, you do not need to delete SGWorkPass or FWMomCare. As SGWork+ is a new app that is currently being tested by a small group of users, the other two apps will continue to work as usual.

Yes. Your key information, such as your digital work pass, will be available in SGWork+ once you log in.

Getting Started

To set up SGWork+, you will need a mobile phone, an internet connection, and a registered Singpass account.

Step 1: Tap on a "Log In" button to start setting up your SGWork+ app. This button can be found on the Homepage, Tasks, Show QR and Inbox page.

Step 2: Log in with Singpass, or with your SGWorkPass login if you are already logged in to the SGWorkPass app.

Step 3: Follow the instructions in Singpass or SGWorkPass to complete your login. Once you are done, please return to the SGWork+ app.

If you cannot login with Singpass, see Help and Support.

To get a Singpass account, you can visit:

A screen lock on your mobile phone is required to keep your information secure.

We recommend that you password protect your phone and set up only your biometric data for secure access. This ensures that only you can access your information.

Digital Work Pass

The digital work pass shows your:

  • Registered name
  • FIN number
  • Photo
  • Employment information
  • Work pass validity

It allows you easy and secure access to your information without scanning the QR code on your physical card.

You can show your digital work pass instead of your physical card when asked. Most government agencies will accept it.

Over time, more organisations in Singapore will also accept it.

You only need an internet connection to set up your digital work pass or update your information. After that, you can view your digital work pass without an internet connection.

Yes, you should apply for a replacement card within 7 days. If you find the lost card later, return it to:

Ministry of Manpower, 18 Havelock Road, Singapore 059764.

You check your work pass validity and application status on the MOM Website eService here.

This means that your work pass has been cancelled or has expired, and you can no longer continue working.

You will need to ask your employer to log into WP Online or EP eService to check and rectify the causes that made the work pass invalid.

Any changes will be shown in SGWork+ within 1 working day.

Tasks

A task is something that MOM needs you to do by a deadline. For example, giving consent or submitting important information.

When you are given a task, you will receive a notification.

You can view your tasks in two places:

  • The Tasks section on your homepage
  • The Tasks page, which you can open from the menu at the bottom of your screen

Tap on a task to see what needs to be done, then follow the steps to complete it.

If you do not complete the task on time, it becomes Overdue. You can still complete it until its expiry date, but no notifications and reminders will be sent.

Once the task expires, you will not be able to complete the task anymore.

Getting Help

If you need help or advice, SGWork+ provides a list of useful contact numbers:

  1. Open "Get Help".
  2. Click on a number to instantly call official helplines, emergency numbers or non-governmental organisations (NGO).

QR Code / Scan QR Code

There are two ways to open your code:

  • Tap the Show QR mini-service under the Work section on the homepage, or;
  • Tap Scan QR in the menu at the bottom of your screen, then tap Show My Code

Your work pass will appear as a code, showing your name and pass number. You can show it as either a QR Code or a Barcode.

You can:

  • Check that the QR code on the card is not damaged and ensure that your camera is working.
  • Make sure that you have granted permission for the app to access your camera, phone, gallery, and notifications.
  • Reinstall the SGWork+ app and try again.

If the above does not work, contact us at go.gov.sg/mom-efeedback.

No, it will not work with a third-party scanner app. You can only use the secured SGWork+ app to scan the QR code and view pass information.

Inbox

Yes. Messages in your Inbox come from MOM. Genuine MOM messages will always appear here in the app.

MOM will never ask for your password or personal details through a message. If you receive a suspicious message elsewhere (such as SMS or WhatsApp) claiming to be from MOM, do not share your details.

News

News is content you can browse and explore when you want to. It is not something you are required to read or act on. For example, recreation activities, educational articles, and community programmes.

Your Inbox holds important messages and general notices. News is additional content you may want to explore.

    • Turn on Allow Notifications
  2. On your device
    • When you turn on notifications in the app, you may be asked to allow them from your device settings. Tap Open and switch on notifications for SGWork+.
    • You can also check this anytime in your phone's Settings, under SGWork+. Once both are switched on, you will start receiving notifications from the app.
